Writing on silicone is a two-part job: choose ink that can stay readable during use, then choose a removal method for when the bottle contents change. Kitchen Bandits keeps both parts simple.
Use the included black oil-based paint marker
Black oil-based paint marker is the default. It gives the website, packaging, instructions, and product demonstrations one consistent baseline. Let fresh writing dry before putting the bottle back into service.
Dry-erase marker is not the default guidance for this product. Colored oil-based paint markers can work, but some colors leave more visible ghosting than black ink.
Permanent marker is an optional longer-hold choice. It is not literally permanent on silicone, but it can be harder to remove and may leave more visible ghosting. Use it only when that tradeoff suits the job.
Remove the writing with isopropyl alcohol
Apply isopropyl alcohol to a cloth and work on the writing surface. Let the surface dry before rewriting. No exact removal time is promised because ink, application, dwell time, cloth, and use conditions vary.
Light ghosting can remain on silicone after the visible writing is removed. That is normal cosmetic wear and does not change the band’s tension fit.
Keep the product facts separate
The bands are dishwasher safe at commercial temperatures. The silicone is also heat-safe to 450°F / 232°C. Those are separate facts. The heat rating is not proof of a particular number of dishwasher cycles, and the dishwasher is not the promised marker-removal method.
The band itself grips by tension, so there is no adhesive and no adhesive residue from the band. When a bottle changes jobs, remove the writing, rewrite the band, and use the fit guide if the band moves to a different bottle.
